Doktor Brigid Laubrich

Doktor Brigid Laubrich (39), who is here to canvass support from the count for her proposals on public health. Rather than view health as an individual issue to be dealt with by individual doctors, she sees the need for organisation and management in health matters. This needs centralised control of health programs, and the co-ordination of data and research. However, she is known to have developed a theory concerning the transmission of disease via micro-organisms in water, whilst everyone else knows that the miasma theory (transmission by vapours and smells) is correct, and she is be ridiculed constantly
